Inspired by the cultural significance of each site and project, I create sculptures that respond to the intersection of spatial context and human engagement. I strive to engage myself and others in a discovery process by exploring, altering and concentrating the experience of time and space.

For these probing investigations I use layers of perforated metal to animate illusive surfaces, fracture light, and envelop ephemeral spaces with moiré patterns that vibrate with the viewer's shifting perspective.

The context in which I am working mediates the physical quality, emotional response, and significance of each piece. Whether I am creating an object on the wall, a sculpture in a plaza, or an installation for a garden, there is a convergence of actual, implied, and symbolic content to express social and environmental concerns.
