Canyon Rim is a 29-foot long high-relief map of the plateau terrain and rim drop-off for the "Choose Your View" orientation exhibit on the plaza of the Grand Canyon's Visitor Center. In this tactile and spatial introduction to the surrounding terrain, the scale, level of detail, and surface treatment allow the viewer to have a sense of soaring over the land, and coincidentally the contour of the rim edge in this section of the canyon looks like the outline of a large flying bird.
